Meet Jason Turner our Coated Fabrics Manager / Technical Sales Engineer

What do you enjoy the most about working at Chiorino?

I love working at Chiorino, and in my role in particular, because of the great job satisfaction. I get to see a project completed in its entirety, from the initial quotation right through to the production line. Because of this, I’m able to see just how important our product and service is to the customer, which is very rewarding.

What are Chiorino like to work for?

Chiorino are a great company to work for. Even though we are international, we always have direct communication with our support team, and everyone has clear access to support, information and assistance within the group. In the UK, we are lucky to be set up with local experience across all departments. At Chiorino, everybody works together to get the best results, and one of our mottos is actually TEAM – Together Everyone Achieves More.

What does your day-to-day role entail?

My priorities are changing all the time, but it normally starts with a pot of Yorkshire tea! I have a dual role within Chiorino – as well as being a Sales Engineer for the Yorkshire and North West regions, I manage the Coated Fabric side of the business which covers UK & Export, so emails and website inquiries have to be the priority first thing. I am heavily involved with on-site belt audits along with business and product development, so I often do a fair bit of travelling, mainly across Yorkshire and the North West, while maintaining communications with our team throughout. Every day is genuinely different and brings its own challenges.

What makes Chiorino different to other companies you have worked for in the past?

For me, the biggest difference is in the variety and quality of products we offer, as well as the confidence I have in the service we supply to our customer base. We are constantly evolving with new product lines, which really does support my role within the company.

What has Chiorino got coming up that you’re looking forward to?

We’ve got plenty of new products in the pipeline that are of clear interest to a great number of industries including food processing, corrugated box folding and distribution. We are also booked in (COVID permitting) to exhibit at Seawork in June and Foodex in July, which should both be exciting.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

A lot of my time is taken up by my busy family life, with 3 young children and a considerate wife. We all enjoy holidays to the east coast of Yorkshire with plenty of walks and sea air. I like exercise and fit in the odd park run on a Saturday when I can. I’m also a long-suffering Leeds United season ticket holder, and have been known to enjoy a few beers – only at the weekend, mind!
