We catch up with Daniel Sanders!

It was only 6 months ago when we recruited our newest Technical Sales Engineer, Daniel. Since then, he has fitted right into the team and has made a real impression on clients. Here, we catch up with him to learn about his experience at Chiorino so far!

What have you enjoyed the most about working for Chiorino so far?

I have enjoyed learning from my colleagues and seeing our UK Head Office move and take shape in our new Glasshoughton location. This is a great investment and resource for our UK base and will benefit our customers and staff moving forward.

What’s Chiorino like to work for?

Chiorino is a great company to work for, with help and support always on hand if it is required. Personal knowledge is shared from the top of the company all the way down and everyone works as one team.

What does your day-to-day role entail?

Generally day-to-day, I check my emails and answer any that need a reply before my day starts. After this I will visit customers and discuss any belting needs, current quotes or orders. I also provide support to my customers on site and will help by advising the correct material for their specific applications.

What makes Chiorino different to other conveyor belt companies/ companies you have worked for in the past?

At previous companies, there has been a feeling that people do not want to help others as it may hinder their progress within the business. Chiorino feels completely different and with everyone working to a shared goal to increase the Chiorino UK market share it feels more like a family.

What has Chiorino got coming up that you’re looking forward to?

I am looking forward to Foodex in March/April 2020. This is going to be the first time I am going to be involved in an exhibition and I am enthused how Chiorino use this platform to promote our most recent developments and interact with potential clients in getting these products to market. With a product like conveyor belting you are always learning. Each person in our team has a different knowledge of conveyor belt processes and experiences which I will be excited to hear about so I can use this in my day to day thought processes.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I enjoy spending time with my family, walking my dogs, watching Formula 1 and playing darts. I have two teenage Step-Sons and a teenage Daughter who keep me busy. I also have 2 Cocker-Spaniels who love running in the woods by my house. I have been a fan of F1 for over 20 years, coming in contact with the sport later in life. It fascinates me with how technical everything on the cars are and the advances they make each year. I am part of a Monday Night Darts Team, and we have just started the new season where we expect to be in the top half. We were promoted last season and want to continue the good form we experienced.
